Le 13 juillet 2023, SFR, une entreprise principale sous Altice, groupée par Patrick Drahi, est plongé dans le choc. Ils avaient juste été informés de l’incarcération d’Armando Pereira, partenaire historique de Drahi, pour des allégations de malversations financières, au Portugal. Un processus inquisitif interne est rapidement instauré. Les dirigeants sont priés de rendre leurs gadgets professionnels, y compris ordinateurs et téléphones. Tatiana Agova-Bregou, responsable executive des contenus audiovisuels chez SFR, le fait le 20 juillet, juste avant de partir en vacances en Bulgarie, son pays natal.
Cependant, le 31 juillet, onze jours après son départ, Altice France lui donne un congé d’activité, suspend ses accès aux réseaux et bureaux de l’entreprise; et lui envoie des lettres de démission qu’elle doit signer avant le 2 août. Faute de réponse, la direction la destitue de toutes ses responsabilités pour « perturbation objective du fonctionnement de l’entreprise ». En jeu, c’est sa relation personnelle avec M. Pereira, mise au jour par les interceptations téléphoniques effectuées par le système judiciaire portugais. Des extraits ont été publiés le 26 juillet, dans le journal « Sabado ».
Patrick Drahi’s empire is being disrupted by a scandal that necessitates changes in leadership. The first implication of this shift is the dismissal of Mme Agova-Bregou from SFR, communicated to employees on August 2, during a central business committee meeting, and later reported by the media. Notably, she was the only employee suspended from Altice France at that time, according to the committee’s records of the day. In the weeks that followed, around 15 executives left the company, either fired or subtly encouraged to resign, largely due to their close relationship or family ties with Mr. Pereira.
Agova-Bregou, who started her career in January 2010 at Numericable, a company founded by Drahi, has vehemently protested her dismissal, escalating the case through the French legal system. An initial procedure was launched in June 2024 before the employment tribunal, quickly followed by a second with the Commercial Court of Paris. According to Le Monde, on August 14, Agova-Bregou lodged claims against SFR Presse Distribution and Sportscotv, both subsidiaries of the operator, for unfair dismissal, combined with humiliating and damaging circumstances that have tarnished her reputation and did not comply with the adversarial principle.
